God is the eternal, all powerful creator of all things. He is perfect and holy in every way. He is rich in love and he is full of justice therefore he is wrathful toward sin.

We are made in God’s image but we have all betrayed that image in rebellion to him. We are sinners and we are dead in our sin. This sin separates us from the Lord and the wage of that sin is death.

Out his great love and justice, God sent his Son Jesus. Though Jesus is eternally God, he became a man and lived a perfect life. We went to the cross to die the death we deserve. Three days later he rose from the dead, conquering death forever. His death is a substitutionary sacrifice that satisfies the wrath of God. The only way to God is through the son Jesus.

Because of the grace given by God, men and women everywhere are commanded to repent and believe in Jesus. God’s gift of new life is received by grace through faith not as a result of our works. Those who repent and believe become children of God and follow Jesus as his loving disciples and they are joined into his church. Those who are being saved will be raised up on the last day.
